Day 1: Greeting at the airport - City tour in Yerevan - History Museum of Armenia
Transfer from Airport to the hotel. After a little rest, a sightseeing city tour in Yerevan. First we visit the Erebuni fortress (782 B.C.) and the local museum. Then, the coach tour will continue with stops at the Davit of Sasun monument, Tsitsernakabert memorial, which is dedicated to the victims of the Armenian Genocide, Victory Park and Mother of Armenia statue that offers a great view of the capital. Last stop - the Opera house and Cascade complex with an open-air art center and cafes, which is the perfect place to grasp what is special about Yerevan.
Day 2: Khor Virap - Noravank - Areni
Breakfast at the hotel, followed by a visit to Garni pagan temple, dedicated to the Sun God Mitra (Mihr) and the summer residence of early medieval Armenian kings. Visit to the Monastery of Geghard, which is known for its peerless sculptures and cave church. Next, a drive to the largest lake in the Caucasus, the 'blue eyed' Sevan, where you visit the medieval Sevanavank and have an opportunity to enjoy local fish and kebab from crayfish. Return to Yerevan.
Day 3: Free day in Yerevan
Day 4: Garni - Geghard - Sevan
Breakfast at the hotel, followed by a visit to Garni pagan temple not far from Yerevan. It was dedicated to the Sun God Mitra (Mihr) and was the summer residence of early medieval Armenian kings. Next is a visit to the UNESCO heritage sight Monastery of Geghard, which is known for its peerless sculptures and cave church.
Day 5: Echmiadzin - Zvartnots - Airport
After the breakfast at the hotel, a visit to the spiritual and administrative center of the Armenian Apostolic Church St. Etchmiadzin, where you can see one of the oldest churches in the world – the Etchmiadzin Cathedral (early 4th century) and other remarkable religious sights. Next, departure to the ruins of Zvartnots, which is considered as a masterpiece of the early medieval Armenian architecture. Transfer to the airport and departure.
