We will visit the most popular towns of the Istrian peninsula - Pula, Rovinj and Poreč - accompanied by a licensed tourist guide.
Pula – the largest town of the Istrian peninsula with a history lasting more than 3,000 years. It is popular for its numerous monuments built in the Roman Empire like the Triumphal Arch of the Sergi or the Golden gate, the Twin gates, the Roman Forum, the Temple of Augustus, and surely the most popular one – the Arena – bearing the title of the best preserved amphitheatre in the world.
Rovinj – the most romantic place on the Mediterranean will fascinate you with its narrow streets and packed houses which seem to emerge from the sea. The town is dominated by the baroque church of St. Euphemia, but you will also fall in love with Grisia – the artists’ strees or with the typical Rovinj boat called “batana.”
Poreč – although it is the pearl of Istrian tourism, its value lies in its history and culture. The many Roman palaces will surely impress you, but what you mustn’t miss is the early Christian church Euphrasian Basilica erected in the 4th century which was included in the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage List in 1997.
