The rock climbing introductional day gives you an opportunity to try easy walls located in a beautiful nature of national parks in Slovakia. Licensed climbing instructors will teach you all the basics about equipment, activity itself and abseiling.
See the 3 main locations where we can take you:
1st – The Tatra Mountains – the biggest and the best in Slovakia. The High Tatras offer many climbing routes of all levels. The Tatra Mountains are glacier mountains which means they were formed by huge glaciers in the past. The types of stones forming them are granite stones and limestones.
2nd – Slovenský Raj /Slovak Paradise/ – one of the most popular places for rock climbing is definitely the National Park Slovak Paradise. The major climbing routes can be found at Tomasovsky vyhlad. The rock which you will climb on there is a limestone. There are many different routes from scale 3 to 10+ .
3rd – Dreveník /climbing near Spis Castle/ Dreveník is a really beautiful location near the biggest castle in Slovakia Spis Castle. The location is similar to the Slovak Paradise with limestone walls. Level of the routes here are from scale 3 to 10+.
9:00am – 9:30am Transfer to the location
Picking you up from your hotel, approx. 30min drive to the destination.
9:30am – 10:00am Walk to the climbing area
After parking the car, we will have to walk 200m to the rock climbing location.
10:00am – 10:30am Short equipment introduction
Now we will explain how are the things such as rope, carabines and harness going to be used.
10:30am – 3:30pm Rock climbing & Lunch
Rock climbing can start and you can test your skills:). Eat your packed lunch while your friend is on the rope.
3:30pm – 4:00pm Pack and leave
It´s time to pack the rope and go back to the hotel.
4:00pm – 5:00pm Transfer back
A walk back down to the car and getting the transfer back to your hotel.
