We have designed 12day itinerary for the Langtang valley trek with your arrival and departure days, plus a day tour in Kathmandu and the trek starts with a breezy scenic drive along the Trisuli River, north of Kathmandu, through Trisuli Bazaar; where we reach to Syabrubeshi, a Tibetan village and farmlands inhabited by people of Tibetan origin, Many villagers are originally from Tibet and once the route was an important trading highway with Tibet with Nepal, therefore, most of the villagers and peoples here still are involved in the trade that is more bartering actually, then we follow the river valley up through an area rich in natural diversity and eventually widens out to reveal marvelous peaks, glaciers and surrounding pastureland, the cultural heritage of the region with Buddhist monasteries provides insight into the local lifestyle and we can sample yak cheese at the high mountain cheese factories. In the upper valley our spirit of adventure will be aroused and there is much to explore with exciting viewpoints providing up-close mountain and glacier views and we will escort you to all the treasures of this area.

Day 01. Arrive Kathmandu airport and transfer to hotel:

You will arrive at Kathmandu airport (1345meters) and met by our airport representative and transferred to hotel, evening free and overnight at hotel in Kathmandu, (A).

Day 02. Full day of sightseeing of Kathmandu valley:

After having breakfast at hotel, we take you for the sightseeing tour in Kathmandu city that includes visit and tour of the Kathmandu Durbar Square, Monkey Temple, Pashupatinath Temple and Baudhanath Stupa, will return to hotel and you will have some free time to shop your trekking gear in Thamel area if you need and overnight at hotel, ( A, B).

Day 03. Drive from Kathmandu to Syabrubeshi (1417m.)- 9 Hours:

After having early breakfast at hotel, we start our drive about 7 am in the morning and head north out of Kathmandu, driving through scenic foothills and ridgeline vistas to Syabrubensi, the first part of the drive up to Trishuli Bazaar is quite smooth, then the path moves along the gravel road, during the rainy season, the way is sometime blocked due to landslides, overnight at Lodge, (A, B, L, D).

Day 04.Trek from Syabrubeshi to Lama Hotel (2470m.)- 5 Hours:

After having breakfast at lodge, we start our trek and it is easy trekking for today, at first, the trail gradually ascends to Landslide (1810m.), afterwards, we trek ascends gently to Rimche (2400m.) through Bamboo (1960m.) and at the end of the trail is flat level path to the Lama Hotel, en route we could see red pandas and bear (we are lucky), and monkeys, check in to the lodge and overnight at lodge, ( A, B, L, D).

Day 05.Trek from Lama Hotel to Langtang village (3430m.)- 6 Hours:

After having breakfast at lodge, we start our trek and there are occasional glimpses of Langtang Lirung between the trees while we trek through the Jungle, at Ghora Tabela (3000m), the trail emerges from the forest, and we will catch a glimpse of white monkeys and local birds, once there was a Tibetan resettlement project, but now it is a Nepalese army post though it has no permanent inhabitants, the trail continues to climb gently and the valley widens, passing a few temporary settlements used by herders who bring their livestock to graze in the high pastures during the summer months, check into the lodge, and overnight at Lodge, ( A, B, L, D).

Day 06.Trek from Langtang Village to Kyangjin Gumpa (3870m.)- 3 Hours:

After having breakfast at lodge, we start our trek and the trail climbs gradually through small villages and yak pastures as the valley opens out further, the views become more extensive now and it is short trek for today to Kyanjung, after crossing several small streams and moraines, the trail reaches the settlement at Kyangjin, check in to the lodge and overnight at Lodge, (A, B, L, D).

Day 07.Rest day at Kyangjin Gompa and excursion around:

This is day to rest and explore the Kyanging area, we will visit the monastery and the cheese factory, walk up the moraine to see the spectacular ice faces and tumbling glaciers of Langtang Lirung or ascend Kyangjin Ri [4350m], directly behind the village, for a breath-taking panorama of the Langtang peak or we can make day trip to Tseguri, overnight at Lodge, (A, B, L, D).

Day 08.Trek from Kyangjin Gompa to Lama Hotel- 6 Hours:

After having breakfast at lodge, we start trek from Kyangjin, we retrace our trekking route, following the Langtang Khola to Langtang village and on to Ghora Tabela, the Aater lunch at Ghora Tabela, we continue the steep descent to Lama Hotel, check into the lodge and overnight at Lodge, ( A, B, L, D).

Day 09.Trek from Lama Hotel to Syabru Goun( 2581)- 5 Hours:

After having breakfast at lodge, we start our trekking descending to Land slide and the routes separates form here to the Syabru Gaun, we will take the upper route then, the trail ascends all the way to Syabru Gaoun, From here we will enjoy spectacular views of Langtang Lirung (7245m.), Tibetan Himal ranges, check in to the lodge and overnight at Lodge, (A, B, L, D).

Day 10: Trek form Syabru Goun to Dhunche – 5 Hours.

After having breakfast at lodge, we start our trek and today is the last day of our trekking and it is easy trekking to Dhunche, the first part we trek the flat and down through the forest of Rhododrendron and fine and the another part once we reach the road then we simply follow the road ascending to the Dhunche and overnight at Lodge, (A, B, L, D).

Day 11. Drive from Dhunche to Kathmandu - 8 Hours.

After having early breakfast at lodge, we start  our drive about 7 AM in the morning and after driving about 8 hours we arrive to Kathmandu, check in to the hotel and overnight at Hotel, ( A, B, L).

Day 12. Transfer to international airport for your final flight departure.

You will be transferred to the international airport for your final departure to your loving home. 1. Trekking equipment

The Following information will give you some idea about that you need o bring for the trek as the back pack and the gear play vital role for the successful trip and we suggest you to have all the necessary gear for the trip and not to have unnecessary equipments/things that you will not be using for the trip and list of the gear you need for the trek are:

  • Four seasons Sleeping bag (Optional/we can provide one if you do not have on your own and it is to be returned after the trek.
  • Duffel or Rucksack bag to keep your all the gear and this will be carried by the porters.
  • Daypack for yourself
  • A down Jacket
  • Shade hat
  • Warm wool hat to cover your ears
  • A pair light weight warm gloves.
  • T-shirts 2- 3 pieces
  • Light weight thermal tops.
  • Fleece jacket.
  • Fleece Wind-Stopper jacket (optional).
  • A pair’s nylon hiking shorts quick drying one
  • Underwear
  • Two pairs lightweight long underwear.
  • Two pairs trekking pants, preferably that zip on/off at the knees so they double as shorts

2. Medicines and First Aid Kits

  • Extra Strength Excedrin for altitude related headaches.
  • Ibuprofen for general aches and pains.
  • Immodium or Pepto bismol capsules for upset stomach or diarrhea.
  • Diamox 125 or 250mg tablets for altitude sickness.
  • 1 small personal sized first-aid kit with blister treatments such as mole skin, band-aids, some waterproof tape, anti-infection ointments, etc.

  • Passport and extra passport photos (4 copies)
  • Durable wallet / pouch for travel documents, money & passport.
  • Lip balm. At least SPF 20, 2 sticks.
