Departure from your hotel early this morning, and for 2 hours transfer by car through the rural areas of northern Vietnam to Hoa Lu, the first capital of Vietnam.On arrival We will visit the temples dedicated to Emperor Dinh Tien Hoang of the Dinh dynasty (968 to 80), and the Emperor Le Dai Hanh of the Le dynasty (980-1,009), the ancient Hoa Lu citadel (where unfortunately most of the buildings have been destroyed), this citadel once covered an area of three square kilometers, being a magnificent representation of Vietnamese art, if time permits, after visiting Hoa Lu (for those who are fit and healthy), take a half hour walk to one of the limestone hills of the surroundings and you will be rewarded with spectacular views of the city.
At the end of the morning departure to the city of Tam Coc for a Vietnamese Lunch. On the way, you can make stops where you like / want to take pictures of villages in the area and the stunning scenery. After lunch, we will enjoy a boat ride that will gently slide us through the water. Here we will have the opportunity to see up close the huge limestone cavities that protrude from the green rice fields that gave rise to their other name, 'Halong Terrestre'. It is considered one of the most beautiful areas in the whole country, and undoubtedly its extreme beauty impresses.
If you feel adventurous, you can climb up to the Bich Dong Pagoda in the nearby Ngu Nhac Mountain. This goes back to 1428 and it includes three structures: the Pagodas de Ha, Trung and Thuong, in ascending order. Cruise back through these evocative landscapes of paradise, where we will enjoy with champagne our return to the city of Tam Coc, before returning to Hanoi, by road to your hotel.
