Experience the rugged beauty of Scotland’s oldest National Park. This area of stunning natural beauty, so loved by Sir Walter Scott and Queen Victoria, has inspired generations of visitors who come to enjoy the soaring mountains, crystal clear lochs and heather clad hills. To complete the perfect Scottish experience, we will also visit the picturesque distillery of Glengoyne to see how we make Scotland’s greatest gift to the world… whisky!

After departing Edinburgh or Glasgow we will make our way to Glengoyne Distllery, located below Dumgoyne and the Campsie Fells. Here we will discover how whisky is made and perhaps even sample a dram of their excellent Glengoyne Malt Whisky before continuing on our way to the charming Highland town of Aberfoyle, gateway to the Trossachs. Taking the famous Duke’s Pass, a road named after the Duke of Montrose, we cross over the Highland Boundary fault and into the Highlands. Experience the stunning views of Ben Venue and Ben Ledi as we descend down to the shores of beautiful Loch Achray, made famous in the paintings of John Everett Millais and in the writings of Sir Walter Scott.

Our journey then continues north through the wild and rugged Balquhidder, home to Rob Roy, made famous by the the novel of Walter Scott and the movie of Michael Caton-Jones, and west along the beautiful Glen Dochart to Crianlarich, where we will stop for lunch. After lunch we continue our travels south, perhaps stopping for a refreshment and a seat by the fire at the famous Drovers Inn. On the final leg of our journey, along the full length of Loch Lomond, we will stop briefly in the charming village of Luss before returning to Edinburgh or Glasgow.
