The Mikumi National Park near Morogoro, Tanzania, was established in 1964. It covers an area of 3,230 km² is the fourth largest in the country. The park is crossed by Tanzania's A-7 highway. It takes about 5-6 hours drive from Dar Es Salaam.
Day 1: Meet & greet in Dar es Salaam at 7am & drive to Mikumi National Park. Late afternoon game drive with sunset view & watch the animal’s drinking water at hippo pool.
The Common seen animals are Elephant, Giraffe, Zebra, Antelope, Wildebeest, Eland, Crocodile, Hippo, Baboon. If luck is in your favor, incidentally you won’t miss to see Lions & ultimately, the Leopard. In addition, Mikumi inhabits over 300 spieces of birds, for example, saddle bill stork, hammer kop, malachite kingfisher, lilac breasted roller, yellow throated long claw, battler eagle etc. Another attraction: the Hippo Pools, where you can watch hippos wallowing and snorting at close range. Day 2: After breakfast, morning game drive in Mikumi National Park then later & drive back to Dar es Salaam with lunch box & dropped off to Hotel/ Airport.
