Day 01 Arrive in Berlin
Arrive in your hotel and meet your Tour Leader and your other fellow travellers on this remarkable journey, before we get in our private coach and explore the wonderful streets and sights of Berlin for our first introduction to the city on our driving tour.
Learn more about this famous city’s activities as you orientate yourself for your free day in town, snapping lots of photos whilst being given the cities colourful history. See sights such as The Reichstag, Brandenburg Gate, Potsdamer Platz and Check Point Charlie….
Following this is our welcome meal in the epic German institution known as the Hofbrauhaus. What a Perfect chance to get to know your fellow travellers over a hot meal and drink. Prost!
Day 02 Berlin Free Day
Enjoy a nice breakfast in the hotel before heading out on a day of discovery!
Berlin has so much to offer from the neo classic architecture, art, its real abundance of food choices, to the remains of the cities more modern colourful history.
Maybe lunch by the Spree River, shop till you drop, discover the museums, learn about Hitler’s Third Reich or hunt down the cities underground graffiti hotspots. The possibilities are endless as you walk, metro and maybe even ride your way around town.
Don’t forget Berlin is well known for its night life so perhaps enjoy a beer in the Summer night weather or find a famous underground night spot!
Day 03 Berlin - Prague
Today we say goodbye to capital of Germany and make our way to storybook city of Prague in the Czech Republic.
After arrival we head straight into the city for an exciting walking and orientation tour of the city of 100 golden spires. You’ll definitely find out why its called that today, so take your cameras! See the Tyne Church, Astronmical clock, Old town square, Charles Bridge & more…
Don’t worry about currency exchange and such as we make time for all of this on our tour and put your mind at ease as you begin to explore the wonder of this fairy tale city.
Perhaps enjoy a nice Czech traditional meal of slow cooked meats and bread dumplings, or maybe a shot of Absinth is more your cup of tea. You will never run out of things to do in this city in your afternoon freetime!
Day 04 Prague Free Day
Today is a day to go at your leisure. Sleep in or get up early so you can discover, get lost or find your favourite views in this magical city.
So much to do from discovering the castle district, eating in a traditional restaurant, discovering all about the Czech’s love of Beer, learning about the marionettes from a local vendor, or taking advantage of the many museums and genuine 15th century buildings.
If you have time you can spend your day instead in the gorgeous city of Cesky Krumlov and its famous brown bears for a different take on Czech culture and life before heading back to the capital
Don’t forget to check out the FAMOUS nightlight in Prauge, as it is known for its after dark happenings. So round up your fellow travellers and enjoy a group meal and a night out you won’t forget…
Day 05 Prague - Vienna
Today we say goodbye to the gem of the Czech Republic and head to the home of one of Europe’s largest family and dynasty of the Habsburgs.
Their Baroque vision will encapture and surprise you in is stature and beauty, as we visit this city sprawled either side of the mighty Danube River.
Today we meet a local guide who will take you on a walking tour of the baroque city, with their own unique take and Austrian humour. See St Stephens church, Hofburg complex, Opera house and more….
With free time calling in the afternoon, no visit in Vienna is complete without visiting Vienna’s oldest amusement park called Prater Park. Food, Candy, Bumper Cars, Rides and fun what more can you ask for! Or maybe stay in the city and hunt down some strudel after a great schnitzel dinner.
Day 06 Vienna Free Day
Today is your day to explore more of what the city has to offer and it definitely will surprise you how much you can do here. (Many tours only get one night and really do miss the charm that Vienna offers.)
Check out the Lepizzaner horses in dressage and training or maybe you are an art enthusiast and wish to head to Vienna’s Museum Quarter. With 20 museum there is definitely something for everyone.
If you are a schnapps lover can hunt down a schnapps museum for a taste and tour or maybe you just love to lounge your day away and get caught up in the cafe culture that the city is famous for.
If palaces and opulence is your interest, head out earlier in the day with you tour leader and visit the summer home and gardens of the Hasburgs. Home to the cities oldest zoo, massive gardens, hedge maze and palace itself, there is lots to explore at Schonbrunn palace.
Day 07 Vienna - Budapest
The tour leaves the Danube city and travels to the Jewel of Eastern Europe… Budapest.
A coach guided tour of the city given to you by your tour leader. You’ll be amazed at how impressive Budpest is, so this is the perfect time to get all your photos taken and get a good idea of how the city is set up.
Travelling from Buda to Pest is a treat as you drive over the beautifully built bridges stretching across the mighty Danube. Maybe a surprise stop or two will lead to some of the most amazing visions you’ve ever seen, captured forever on your quickly filling camera space.
The evening is then yours to head out for more food or gather your group to discover what happens in Budapest after the sun goes down.
Day 08 Budapest Free Day
If you didnt get to see enough yesterday you are in luck! Today is your free day to explore the city at your lesiure.
So many sites to see and visit you’ll be thankful you have another whole day! The Szechenyi Baths are perfect to relax your weary bones or to replenish you for the day ahead.
Spend a day in the park lands with a nice picnic near Hero’s Square or maybe you wish to check out the markets that pop up in Deak Square, close to the cities main shopping roads.
Some of you may be more interested in the darker side of communism and will want to make sure you head to the House of Terror and learn all about the communist influence starting after the Second World War and lasting till the beginning of the 90’s
Perhaps the only perfect way to end this journey on your last night is to get your fellow travellers together and go out for a farewell meal.
Day 09 Farewell in Budapest
Its time for breakfast and time to make sure you have finalised all your new friends in your phone and datebook. With the tour finishing after breakfast we hope we have made this the highlight of your travels and you have met people you will now know forever.
