The Chinatown of Bangkok, also known as Yaowarat on the street that runs through it, is located in the Samphanthawong district of the Thai capital. China Town is an old commercial area that covers a large area around Yaowarat and Charoen Krung streets. It is in the commercial center of the Chinese community, which settled in the area around the year 1800. Near the Chinatown is the Indian Phahurat market. Yaowarat is also famous for the variety of products. During the night you can also find a wide variety of gastronomic products.
